Description
Xaliproden hydrochloride is a potent, selective and orally active 5-HT1A receptor agonist with a high affinity for 5-HT1A specific binding sites in the rat hippocampus (IC50 = 3 nM). It is also a selective dopamine D2 receptor antagonist with moderate affinity (IC50 = 0.1-1 µM). It has antidepressant and anti-anxiety effects, and may have therapeutic potential in neurodegenerative diseases research
